Need To Know
βοΈ 1. Pack for the Weather
Manali can be chilly, especially in evenings — even in summer! Pack woolens, thermals, gloves, and warm socks. If you're visiting during snowfall season (Dec–Feb), carry waterproof shoes and jackets.
𧳠2. Keep Essentials Handy During the Volvo Journey
Carry a small hand bag with water, snacks, tissues, and light medicines. Keep your jackets accessible as buses get cold at night. Motion sickness pills may help if you're not used to hilly roads.
π 3. Dress Smart for the Photoshoot
For your cinematic couple shoot, bring color-coordinated outfits (or use what we provide, if included), comfortable shoes, and winter-friendly makeup. We'll guide you on the best shoot timing and locations.
πͺ 4. Altitude Adjustment
Manali is located at a higher altitude (~2,000m). Take it slow on your first day. Stay hydrated, avoid heavy meals, and rest well after your journey.
π° 5. Carry Some Cash
While Manali has ATMs, they can be unreliable during peak season. Many local shops and cafés prefer cash. Carry smaller denominations for shopping, cafes, or tips.
πΆ 6. Internet & Connectivity
Manali has good 4G connectivity (Jio & Airtel work best), but don’t expect super-fast speeds in upper areas. Our hotel provides free Wi-Fi, so you're always connected.
π¬ 7. Respect Local Culture
Manali is warm and welcoming, but modest dressing and polite behavior are appreciated — especially when visiting temples or traditional areas.
π 8. Sightseeing Time Matters
Most local spots close by evening (around 5–6 PM). Plan your sightseeing and photoshoots accordingly. Early mornings have the best light and fewer crowds.
π 9. Carry Chargers & Adapters
Power cuts can occasionally happen. Keep your phone, camera, and power banks charged. We recommend bringing a multi-plug adapter if you have many devices.
π₯ 10. Emergency Info
Color Stays team is available to assist you throughout your trip. Nearest hospital, police station, and medical store details are available at the reception.
